SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
Labor Day week-end Saturday and Sunday will find the whole town alive with cowboys and dudes and little buckaroos jostling for position to see the Bandera Cattle Company, a chance to ride in a wagon, enter the muttin’ bustin, or rope a chicken or even try your hand at cow patty tossin’! Folks will be scramblin’ to watch the Fancy Dancers and ceremonial dances of the Celebrate Bandera Circle of Life Intertribal Powwow.
Saturday morning kicks off with great anticipation at our annual Cow Patty Bingo event. Head to Lowe’s Market Parking Lot and join the crowd at 9:00am. Purchase a ticket for Cow Patty Bingo and a chance to win $2,500! You can buy your ticket early because you do not need to be present to win. Ticket holders at the event, however, will have a chance to win door prizes donated by local merchants. At 10 am, our featured “well fed” Longhorn is released in the pen and the numbered square where the patty lands is the winner! The event raises $5,000 which will be given to a local Charity. !
Down the road a piece at the Court House you can grab a seat and wait for the parade and a cattle drive down Main Street. A cattle drive with real longhorns!
The great thing about Saturday and Sunday is that every event on Main Street is FREE. And that includes the Arts and Crafts Show, the Gun fighters, the Bandera Music Hall of Fame music stage and the Antique Chuck Wagons.
